Palma d'Oro 2023 - the winners

PROGRAM

 

The 12 candidates will play both rounds 

FIRST ROUND: a 30 minutes maximum program  

SECOND ROUND: a 30 minutes maximum program  

Candidates must compulsorily play in  the first round or in the second stage:  

– 2 etudes (one by Chopin or Liszt and the other by a composer from Debussy onwards) 

– a piece from the Baroque period 

– a series of pieces by Aloise Vecchiato  (minimum duration:  7 minutes) 

 

Aloise Vecchiato’s scores will be available free of charge from the official website www.aloisevecchiato.com, and other pieces can be purchased from the publishing house ZEN-ON Piano Library (www.zen-on.co.jp). 

FINAL ROUND: a program (max 60 minutes) including a classical sonata (Haydn – Mozart – Clementi – Beethoven – Schubert) 

DONZDORF PRIZE: Solo program and a W.A.Mozart concert (performed with Quartet) among the following: K413 – K414 – K415 – K488 – K491 or Chopin Concerto No. 1 and 2 (performed with Quartet)
maximum duration: 45 minutes between concert for piano and strings and freely chosen solo program (pieces performed in Finale Ligure can be repeated)
It is not mandatory to play the pieces from memory
