PRESELECTION 2024

The on-line application must be send  by SUNDAY 14 JULY 2024 including the following documents:

A) Applicant biography in english
B) An high quality colour photo in jpg format
C) A pdf of a valid identity document with proof of nationality and age

E) links to VIDEO (up to 3) previously uploaded by the applicant in unlisted mode on the digital platforms YouTube
with a free choice of programme lasting between 20 -30 minutes

– Only videos recorded in the three years preceding the application submission are accepted
– Videos must be with the face and hands of the applicant always visible, without transitions or editing. Transitions or editing are granted only in the case of professional video recordings of live performances performed by international piano competitions or concert organizations

PALMA D’ORO INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION 2024
August 29 – September 3 FINALE LIGURE (Italy) / DONZDORF (Germany) 

VALUATION OF PRESELECTION

The preselection examining board is exclusively made up of judges for the 2024 edition. The examiners in charge of the preselection will take into consideration the candidates biography and will watch the video recordings; there after communicate to the competition’s administration office by the 21 July 2024, giving their opinion on the candidates’ performances by a numerical valuation grid with a minimum of 80 to a maximum of 100 points. On the 22 July 2024, the administration office will proceed to calculate the average of each candidate resulting in the total sum of all the examiners marks, without rounding off marks in excess or fault. Therefore creating an official list of the 12 candidates admitted to the 50th edition of the “Palma d’Oro” competition. 

The results of the preselections will be announced by e-mail to the candidates on MONDAY  22 JULY 2024

The selected candidates must confirm by Wednesday 24 July if they intend to participate and send a 100 euro competition entry fee

In the event of one or more selected participants renouncing participation, the organization will contact the four reserves that the jury has appointed in the alternative to the 12 selected

Selected candidates will be hosted in the hotel (single room) by the competition organization in the following days:

– the nine candidates not admitted to the final round: 28, 29, 30 August;

– the three finalists: 28, 29, 30, 31 August in Finale Ligure; 1, 2, 3 September in Donzdorf
